The vision of the future and the concept of well-being
Attracting from the professional contexts of origin of the members of the Scientific Committee and in line with the starting cognitive framework realised by IRPET, 6 thematic meetings have been planned, which will be integrated, in the course of the work, by other occasions of confrontation when, within the debate, the necessity emerges.

In these meetings, the experts involved are called upon to express their views on how the concept of Well-being, taken on by the President of the Regional Council Antonio Mazzeo as the guiding word of the Toscana 2050 Project, can be interpreted in the light of their own professional perspective and of the references offered by IRPET.
The drivers of the debate, chosen by common agreement between the Committee members and the Presidency of the Regional Council and around which the vision for the future of the Region of Tuscany is to be built, are:
- How cities change
- How the relationship with health and quality of life
- How the system of culture
- How the factory
- How education and training
- How water and its use are changing

Specifically, in each of these meetings, the committee members were asked to imagine, with respect to the topic under consideration:
- The possible futures, i.e. the set of feasible scenarios
- The probable futures, i.e. those that are more likely to occur given the starting conditions
- The preferable futures, i.e. those most desirable in view of a widespread welfare objective
